You might prefer it, but kegbombing on a perma is much quicker therefore more drops.

Just find a farm that kills alot of monsters fast... doesn't matter which monsters. Then just go farm farm farm farm again and again and again. That's it.

Ever notice how the exact same fricken assinine question gets asked before a holiday drops weekend? I remember it like it was just a few weeks ago... "What is the fastest farming area and method to get clovers and ales this weekend?" o, wait.... it was just a few weeks ago.
In general anyone can look at it this way:
Q: "What is the fastest farming area and method to get [place holiday drop item here] this weekend?"
A: Raptors or Vaettirs (this answer will apply to all the rest of the holiday drop items for the rest of the year)

Meh, I just like the ele one cause you don't have to friggin' run so darn much. Just one zone and BAM! You're there.

Update - Thursday, April 9, 2009

Assassin
Shadow Form: changed functionality to: "For 5...18 seconds, all hostile spells that target you fail and all attacks against you miss. Shadow Form ends if you drop an item or deal more than 500 damage to nearby enemies"

I hate to say it but I don't see anymore major skill updates or major nerfs. If I recall the last time they touched SF they said that this would be the last.
Everyone knows this game is 4 years old and we haven't had anything new to do since EotN was released in August of 2007. So 20 some months ago almost pushing 2 years with no new content and GW2 announce to come in 2011+
They know that destroying something that is at least keeping some players playing the game.
As for the repeated question of event item farming answer is always raptors or kegging, and there is always people saying if SF doesn't get a nerf.
